French  Exchange with Langkær Gymnasium and HF (Comenius)

Wednesday, August 31:

The French arrive at Billund and go to Legoland.

Thursday September 1:

8:30  Meet at school at in the canteen.  Danes go to school, the French go to town.
Morning at the harbor – French only.  Mireille is the guide.
12:00  Lunch at school: bring your lunches or buy at the school
13:15 – 14:50   French class meeting – Danes and French  (JP) Room 39. Present the nuclear project in French and talk about cultures and values.

Friday September 2

8:30  Meet at school. Danes go to school, the French go to town
Morning : The Old Town. Lone Hoffmann is guide for the day. This site is on the list of 1,000 Places to See Before You Die.

Lunch Bring a bag lunch or buy your own at the museum.
Afternoon AROS – The Rainbow Panorama and the special Eliasson Exhibition.  Regarding the program, we have a reservation to go to AROS on Friday, September 2 after lunch. 15:00   Hosts pick up their guests. You can plan your own time from here. Remember that this is Århus Festival Week so there are plenty of good things to do – free. Lots of music and street theatre.

Saturday and Sunday – make you own plans with your guests and hosts. Try to arrange something in groups.

Monday  September 6

8:30    school . The first two lesson you take with your hosts.
10:05 – 10:25   long break
10:25- 12:00     English classes – Barbara Dunn. Room 20. (for French visitors only)
12:00   Lunch. Bring your lunches or buy at the school.
13:15   Meet with 2y (BD) and hear about their water project. The French tell a little about their
nuclear project. Room 4. An exchange of experiences.
14:50  Pick up students and go to Billund.
16:15  Billund Airport . departure 17:45.

Bus tickets are good for 2 hours, so you can change buses and go back and forth on the same ticket for 2 hours. This saves money!
Hosts will give their guests a welcome envelope, with a guide book and a 10 ride card for the buses. Keep the used bus tickets!!!

Teachers only:
We have a dinner at Vibeke’s at 20:00 Wednesday.
We will eat at a Danish restaurant downtown on Friday at 20:30
We will take a day-trip on Sunday.
