Supervision
In the upper secondary school and in Higher Preparatory Examination the students have the possi-bility to obtain study and vocational supervision. This guidance includes personal, individual su-pervision and team supervision.

Individual supervision
The individual supervision is an offer to every single student. This kind of supervision has got the purpose to give each student support, which will help the student to complete the education in stan-dard time. The supervision will typically include dialogues about studies, financial, social and per-sonal conditions related to the education. The supervision also includes circumstances, which will have a great significance later in the education – compared to choices of education and occupation in the future.
-The personal supervision will be given as needed.
In the start of the education all students will be offered an introduction conversation, and will be closely followed.

Quick overview about student counselling

• Every class has got its own student adviser.
• The student adviser has got an education which enables him/her to seize two different roles: the student adviser and a single subject teacher.
• There are three advisers at the upper secondary school and two at the HPE part of the school.
• he student counselling is centrally located at the school - in special adviser rooms opposite the canteen.

The point of the student counselling
The student counselling is a help to you, which is to make sure that you:

• get support enough to finish your education. This kind of assistance and support usually starts with one or a couple of personal conversations about your situation.
• have got a realistic idea of your own conditions and possibilities, so that you can make a quali-fied choice of subjects, education and occupation.
• get strong knowledge about the educative system and the labour market conditions.

Students with spelling and reading problems have got the possibility to get special classes for them only. Here they receive assistance from the school’s reading teachers Anette Kirketerp and Birgithe Schønheinz, who have an office next to the student advisers.

• If you for some reason have got reading- and writing problems, which restrict you and your edu-cation, then you have got the possibility to receive special teaching at Langkær Gymnasium and HPE.
• A possible offer of special classes will always be based on an individual test of your writing- and reading abilities.
• All classes will be personally informed about the reading pedagogy within the first months of the school course.
